There may have been many changes, assumptions resolutions along the way, but importantly the original source documents remain intact. Rulebox creates links form every rule back to the sentences in the documents that gave rise to the rule as well as notes about why the rule is the way it is. This makes ongoing compliance and maintenance much more straightforward.
